Maserati Model List. Every Maserati, Every Year.
Maserati has a long and rich history that fascinates both car enthusiasts and
those who love the brand. The Maserati story begins with a modest family and a passion for speed and has grown into one of the leading luxury car brands today. The company is based in Modena, Italy and is known for its racing, sports, and Grand Touring cars. From a car perspective, it
was the post-war period that was interesting for Maserati. Post-war, the A6 1500, which was designed by Alfieri Maserati, was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in 1947.
The car was named after Alfieri Maserati and the numbers engine cylinders. The A6 was the first Maserati to be designed for daily driving. At this time, Maserati also expanded the product line to include sports cars and
grand touring (GT) vehicles. Since then the brand has continued to execute on the provide a combinations of sports car models and GTs in a way that is unique and very Italian.
In 2020, Maserati kick started its modern resurgence with the launch of an all-new supercar, the MC20. The supercar will lead the line for the carmaker as it repositions itself for future growth and expansion. On
this page we take a look at all the Maserati models over the years, from race cars to production cars to a handful of special Maserati cars that deserve their own attention.
Current Maserati SUV Lineup
2025 Maserati SUV Prices, Reviews, Rankings, Specs & Trims
The
Maserati Levante is one of the brand's two SUV offerings, and adds an
exciting dynamic to the model portfolio, similar to what the Urus is for
Lamborghini. It serves up an impressive performance with either the
turbocharged V6 or top-of-the-line V8. The interior is well laid out,
but parts sharing with its Jeep and Chrysler relatives dilute the
luxurious feel, especially compared to Mercedes Benz and BMW rivals. The
Levante lineup starts with the luxury-oriented GT and steps up to the
sportier Modena, including its side trim Modena S, and finished with the
high-performance Trofeo. The Maserati Grecale is the brand's smaller
SUV offering, designed to bridge the gap between the Larger Levante and
the luxurious Ghibli. It debuted in 2022 with two models, adding the
high-performance Trofeo in 2023. The Grecale model chassis will also be
the basis for Maserati's first ever EV, the Folgore, which is coming in
Q3 or Q4 2023 as a 2024 model. This smaller SUV is also meant to be an
entry level point for the brand and comes in three main trims for 2025.

Maserati GranTurismo & GranCabrio Variants
The
first generation Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio offered a decent
range of variants to cater to different driving desires. The base model
featured a 4.2-liter V8 engine with 405 horsepower, a luxurious
interior, and Maserati's distinctive blend of comfort and performance.
The next step up was the GranTurismo S/ GranCabrio S, which upped the
ante with a larger 4.7-liter V8 packing 440 horsepower. They added
larger brakes and sportier suspension tuning for a sharper and more
engaging drive. On the higher performance side, we saw the GranTurismo
MC Sport Line: which took inspiration from Maserati's racing heritage,
boasting carbon fiber aero components, a track-tuned suspension, and
even more aggressive styling. The top dog was of course the GranTurismo
MC Stradale, which was a true street-legal track weapon. It combined the
power of the 4.7L V8 with reduced weight, a race-inspired interior, and
ultra-sharp handling, offering a more visceral driving experience. Over
the years, Maserati periodically released special edition GranTurismo
and GranCabrio models. These typically boasted unique visual touches,
interior upgrades, and occasionally performance tweaks.
